My brother Andres and I wanted to start a business of our own. I was living in Monterrey, Mexico, while he was studying to become a pilot in Austin. Our sisters, Caro and Patty, were in Mexico. Mom was in Venezuela, and Dad was working in the oil industry around the world.Mi hermano Andres y yo queríamos empezar un negocio propio. Yo vivía en Monterrey, México, mientras él estudiaba para ser piloto en Austin. Nuestras hermanas, Caro y Patty, estaban en México. Mamá estaba en Venezuela y papá trabajaba en la industria petrolera por distintas partes del mundo.
We were miles apart. But we shared the same desire to build something of our own.Nos separaban muchos kilómetros, pero compartíamos las mismas ganas de construir algo propio.

We knew very little about the food industry. But we decided to take the leap. With our first truck painted and ready, we opened on February 14, 2015.Sabíamos muy poco de la industria de la comida. Pero decidimos dar el salto. Con nuestro primer camión pintado y listo, abrimos el 14 de febrero de 2015.
People showed up. And what began as a business idea became a family affair.La gente llegó. Y lo que empezó como una idea de negocio se convirtió en un proyecto de toda la familia.

Mom brought her authentic Venezuelan recipes, her cooking skills and her unconditional love. Patty brought her design skills. Caro, her good taste. Andres, his focus on service and high standards. Dad, his financial support. I brought the entrepreneurial drive to run the business. And our faith in God was part of it all.Mamá aportó sus auténticas recetas venezolanas, su talento para cocinar y su amor incondicional. Patty, su talento para el diseño. Caro, su buen gusto. Andres, su compromiso con el servicio y sus altos estándares. Papá, su apoyo económico. Yo aporté el impulso emprendedor para llevar el negocio. Y nuestra fe en Dios fue parte de todo.

In 2016, our second truck brought Four Brothers to Rainey Street in Austin. Another truck, another place to share our Venezuelan food.En 2016, nuestro segundo camión llevó Four Brothers a Rainey Street, en Austin. Otro camión, otro lugar para compartir nuestra comida venezolana.

Later that year, we added a truck for events. Alongside our regular locations, we had another way to bring Four Brothers to people.Más adelante ese año, sumamos un camión para eventos. Además de nuestros puntos de venta habituales, teníamos otra forma de llevar Four Brothers a la gente.

In 2017, we added another events truck. We kept building Four Brothers, one step at a time.En 2017, sumamos otro camión para eventos. Seguíamos construyendo Four Brothers, paso a paso.

As we kept growing, we added a trailer in 2018. A different setup. The same family behind it.Mientras seguíamos creciendo, en 2018 sumamos un remolque. Una forma distinta de trabajar. La misma familia detrás de todo.

In 2019, we opened our first brick-and-mortar at Barton Creek Square mall in Austin. What started on wheels now had a permanent place, too.En 2019, abrimos nuestro primer local fijo en el centro comercial Barton Creek Square, en Austin. Lo que empezó sobre ruedas ahora también tenía un lugar permanente.

In 2021, we were part of Austin City Limits for the first time. A huge milestone for Four Brothers. Andres and I were there with our cousins Ruben and Leandro.En 2021, participamos por primera vez en Austin City Limits. Un logro enorme para Four Brothers. Andres y yo estuvimos allí con nuestros primos Ruben y Leandro.
That milestone meant even more because it was also the year Mom passed away. Four Brothers began with her recipes and her love. Reaching this moment was part of the story she helped make possible.Ese logro significó aún más porque también fue el año en que mamá falleció. Four Brothers empezó con sus recetas y su amor. Llegar a ese momento era parte de la historia que ella ayudó a hacer posible.

In August 2021, she passed into eternal life with God. Today, we carry on in her honor. Our mission is to serve Venezuelan food and welcome our guests with the warmth of family.En agosto de 2021, partió a la vida eterna con Dios. Hoy seguimos adelante en su honor. Nuestra misión es servir comida venezolana y recibir a nuestros invitados con la calidez de una familia.
